Buying a home is never just buying a home.
At first, a property search looks simple. You spot a listing. You compare a few homes. You draw up a shortlist. You tell yourself that with a bit of method, the right decision will come.
In reality, it rarely works out that way.
The questions soon pile up. Is the price reasonable? What costs do you really need to plan for? What is left once the mortgage, the taxes or the renovation are taken into account? Does this home really fit what you are looking for? And above all: should you make an offer now, or let it go?
That is where the invisible side of property begins. The part that takes time. A lot of time.
You have to search, compare, calculate, check, call back, ask questions, visit, correct your assumptions, then start again. And more often than not, all of it happens across several tabs, several portals and several spreadsheets, with incomplete information.
The problem is not just finding a home. The problem is making the right decision before it is too late.
